Our beautifully restored hall is bringing a new lease of life to the heart of our small Lincolnshire village. Benefitting the inhabitants of Stixwould and Old Woodhall we look forward to hosting many community events and activities.
This website will be our online noticeboard for all village hall event information and an ever growing resource of cherished local history.
The hall will soon be available for private bookings. Our wonderful team of volunteers look forward to serving you.
We would also love to hear from you if you would like to add to our history section or if you just want to say hello!
Following a major reinvestment in the restoration of Stixwould Village Hall we were delighted to officially re-open the hall in a small private ceremony which took place on Saturday 17th May. There is still work to be completed before we are fully up and running but it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our achievements to date and recognise all the hard work of our dedicated community.
A plaque to commemorate the life of 'Gentleman Jim' Almonds was unveiled on 17th May by his daughter Gloria, a lifetime resident of Stixwould, in the presence of many Almonds family members. It was a very proud moment for us all and we look forward to the plaque taking pride of place on the outside of the village hall shortly.
Thanks to our National Lottery Heritage Funding we have been able to launch our new website. As you will see there is still a lot to add. It will be an on-going project for our volunteers so please bear with them and check back often to see all the latest news and updates.
